The assignment required AOS to appraise short-listed buildings in a number of locations, making technical, financial and spatial comparisons and providing recommendations, which centred around a 4600sq m building known as Verulam Point in St Albans.
Following this we then went on to design the new environment, draw up specifications for the fit out and furniture solution and procure the services, products and equipment by a tender process. The procurement was conducted hand in hand with Wanadoo purchasing and finance groups, with a view to getting best value at the lowest cost. This involved us working on a performance based fee reward where a significant element of our fee was based on reducing the capital spend.
Once the selections had been made, we managed the fit out process, contracting directly with the sub-contractors, suppliers and service providers thus giving Wanadoo a completely transparent single source solution. A percentage of our fee was determined by Wanadoo themselves by grading the service they received from us on a 5 point score mechanism covering all aspects of the project.
